On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, Mr. Toft's Grade 5 class planted trees in the forest behind Berrigan Elementary School. Thanks to the city of Ottawa for all of your help!
This is our last challenge of the year. We had to practice a little before videotaping it. We would love to see other classes try it out. We are more interested in seeing students working together to building the pyramid - your time is not important. Although, you are welcome to try! Let us know if you make a video by leaving a comment telling us where to find it. UPDATE: Mrs. Monaghan's class tried our challenge. They are in North Yorkshire, England. Their blog is called A Room With a View. Mme Marnie's class (they are a Grade French immersion class in our school) challenged us with their "Attention tension!" video. It took a little practice, but four students in our class managed to make it work.
Thanks to Mme Marnie's grade 5 class at Berrigan Elementary School in Ottawa. This is our first guest class challenge! We plan to try it and hope other classes will too!
Here is our latest challenge! Can your class beat our "Balloon Bop" time of 40 seconds? Videotape your class and let us know where to find the video (ie. Vimeo, Google Drive, YouTube) by leaving a comment with this post. All grades are welcome to participate in this challenge - even grownups! There's no need to get fancy with your video (unless you want to!); unedited video is fine. Mme Marnie's class accepted our challenge! They go to the same school we do.
